Pilates originally began as a dance or gymnast-based program, which was mainly based on ballet-type movements. The traditional Pilates exercises were then broken down into clearly defined levels, resulting in a standard, gradual progression towards a normal, functional movement. It is now suitable for a wide range of people and conditions. Whether you are young or old, recovering from injury, a first-time exerciser, or an elite athlete.

Our classes are matwork based classes, which consists of strength, stretching and mobility exercises completed on an exercise mat. The main theme of matwork exercises is maintaining a central core of stability. By concentrating on precision of movement, awareness of breath control and a continued flowing movement, you will be able to alter abnormal patterns of movement and achieve a carry over effect into daily function.
All classes are run and developed by our experienced physiotherapists to ensure the best possible outcome for the you. Our physiotherapists select the most beneficial exercises to improve your posture and will advise you on helpful strategies you can do at work and at home for the best results!
